Hotel Chopin in Passage Jouffroy

Hotel Chopin is in Passage Jouffroy and dates back to 1846, when the passage was first opened. Its characterful entrance reflects the style and allure of the enchanting Passage Jouffroy.

The Hotel claims to have had a person on its reception 24 hours a day, 7 days a week since its inception, making a grand total of over 61,000 days of continuous service!  It was originally called the 'Family Hotel', but was renamed to Hotel Chopin in 1970 after the composer, who was a regular visitor to the Passage, living nearby. Legend has it that Chopin and George Sand used the Hotel for secret romantic trysts. However, as with most legends, this has not been verified....!
